We are thrilled to announce our growth to Fresno, CA!

Root & Rebound to Open Fresno Office to Serve Women with Criminal Records and in Reentry

We are thrilled to finally share this news—we are opening an office in Fresno, CA thanks to the California Wellness Foundation, which will serve women in reentry and women with criminal records/past justice-involvement to move through the hurdles and obstacles they face and change the systems and structures that create unnecessary barriers to opportunity. A three-person team, composed of a reentry attorney, case manager, and employment coach, will work on-site to empower women in the program and their families by creating pathways to employment and financial stability. The team will also work with local partners and agencies including CSU Project Rebound, Westcare, and the Fresno Public Defender (and many more incredible groups on the ground!) to strengthen the local reentry infrastructure, shift employment attitudes and practices, and create opportunities for all Fresno residents with records.

The services & support we will offer include:

-Individual and Family Counseling
-Referrals to Social Services
-Financial Assistance
-Individual Career and Financial Coaching
-Employment Connections
-Individual Legal Consultations
-Legal Representation
-Group Trainings
-Policy Advocacy
-Legal Clinics
-Peer Support

THANK YOU
Thank you to the California Wellness Foundation for its pioneering investments in this space!

We are deeply honored and humbled by the opportunity to grow our programs in the Central Valley, and to serve women of color there—women who too often get left out of reentry and criminal justice investments and whose voices must be heard and at the center of the push for reform.
